Qualifications
Definite Listing Requirements apply to all companies that choose to go public on NASDAQ or NYSE. However, the exchanges offer a variety of alternatives to qualify. NASDAQ, for example, has three market segments, the NASDAQ CAPITAL MARKET®, the NASDAQ GLOBAL MARKET® and the superior NASDAQ GLOBAL SELECT MARKET®; each with three different standards to qualify.
The audited financials must be US-GAAP standards (United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
